Hello,

After receiving a phone call tonight about how our adopted pup is doing, we wanted to share some photos with you!  We adopted Bonnie in September and renamed her Lucy because she and our other dog Bennie were getting their names confused!  Since then, Lucy has gained the right amount of weight and filled out nicely.  When we got her, she could not walk or run for more than a few minutes because her hind legs were so thin.  That is not the case anymore!  She spends her whole day playing chase with Bennie outside and then coming in for a wrestling match.  They are best buds and like to curl up on the couch together once they've tired themselves out.  Bennie is also a rescue... when he came to us in March, he was emaciated, had 14 stitches in his head from abuse, and was recovering from a broken paw.  Somehow I think that both dogs know the other needs extra TLC and they have developed a real bond.

We love Lucy very much and she is a wonderful addition to our home.  She has certainly found her forever home!  We are amazed that she never once had an accident in our home, and we appreciate Marlene's role in getting that process started for us.  Lucy has no issues, is very well behaved, and gives kisses nonstop!  She is also very smart and is learning basic obedience.  She also has a few tricks of her own, like pretending to hear a noise outside so that Bennie goes to look and she can steal his toy.  Toys have become very exciting to her and she has won many tug of war matches with Bennie.

We hope you enjoy these photos of her and her new family.  The party hats were for Bennie's second birthday party.  We decided he should get to celebrate his first happy one!
