On Oct. 2, 2001, Francie and I had our 2 year anniversary.  Francie is doing GREAT!  She is such a smart little poodle.

The other day we went out for a potty walk and Francie saw a squirrel in my driveway.  I quickly looked up and down the street and saw that nothing was coming, so I just stood quietly and watched. She ran to the end of the drive and stopped and just watched the squirrel run away across the street. This was a great accomplishment.  I have had her trained to stay in the yard for a long time, but until now the lure of wildlife overrode her training.  

I am still amazed at the emotional damage this poor little dog has.  We are slowly eliminating or diminishing some of her fears one at a time.  She doesn't run as far away as she used to when I drop something now.  You can see her love and trust increasing as time goes by.  She loves to go for short car trips (especially to the bank where they give her a treat).
