On Monday I worked on walking better on a leash. Mandy,
my westie big sister helped me with that. She is really
good at it and told me the sooner I learn this skill
the more I will get to do. Good advice I think. Let
it not be said that I didn't get into trouble this week.
Early Monday afternoon I locked my mom out of the house,
good thing there is a extra key in hiding. Then, later
in the day I gave my penguin toy a bath in the water
bowl. Mom was not too happy, but after all penguins
like water.
Tuesday, what can I say about Tuesday. My new moms have
me going to school already. There are many BIG dogs
there but they were all friendly and my spirit is as
large as theirs. I don't think I will really like school
but everyone told me I did a great job!
On Wednesday I met my Grandmother who just flipped over
me. I like her too. She gave me hugs and kisses and
told me that I was sweet. We played together with my
toys and she just kept making over me.
Thursday evening I went on an outing. My moms, Mandy
and I went to the Coventry Road Street fair. There I
met a lot of people who wanted to pet me and learn about
me, that was okay and all, but what I really liked was
seeing all the other dogs that were there and meeting
them.
I guess it was for my own good, but on Friday I went
to meet my new vet and office friends. Again, the staff
at the vets office made all over me (I am working on
keeping my ego in check) and my vet, Dr. Kelly said
that I was in good health. She gave my moms some suggestions
on food and routines which I seem to like so far. The
worst part though, was when she removed my stitches,
boy did that hurt as some of my skin had grown over
the sutures. Later on Friday I went shopping with Mandy
and my moms. Since I shiver in the cold I needed a couple
of shirts to keep me warm, they are pretty cool, I will
have to send you an 8x10 glossy when they are available.
Saturday was pretty exciting, I went with Mandy to what
she calls play date. One Saturday a month we go to this
place where moms and their puppies hang out. The moms
sit and gab and the puppies run and play. I was a bit
timid at first, but once I caught onto the action I
was in the thick of it. As we left I told all my new
friends "see you next month".
I guess there is a reason they call Sunday the day of
rest, boy did I need it after the past week! Two things
milestone happened today, first I did my business in
the rain, which my moms were fussing about, and I destroyed
my first toy. A gorilla that my neighbor gave me. I
feel bad that I tore its guts out but I loved that toy.
Not to worry we have plenty of toys here.
Well I am sure that each week will not be as exciting
as this one, but I know that I have found a place where
I can call home, were my toys will be safe, food (and
treats) will be regular, where when my moms leave home
I know that they will return and most of all love will
surround and protect me.
Thanks again.....
