Note from Maggie's family July 7, 2008:

Hi Cindy,

I just wanted to let you know, now that I'm back on this email, that WE FOUND MAGGIE !! !THANK GOD! Some very very nice off duty officer/ dog lover cornered her at 2:30pm on July 4th. He could tell she was a pet and was concerned with the upcoming fireworks (so were WE!) The entire family cried with joy! The guy probably thought we were all wackos!

Strangley enough, my findtoto.com and the posters and flyers didn't do the trick. The officer simply read her collar which had the phone# on it. He says he didn't see the flyers or get a phone call...which is strange since the flyers were also posted AT the police station! Oh well, who cares.. she is home !!! I would spend whatever money necessary and do all those things again if I had to. But anyway, she's a little scratched up, bug bitten, a couple lbs. lighter, and slightly skittish but other than that, she is in good spirits.

Thank you for your thoughts! I think the prayers of many is what kept her in the area and ultimately got her home! We humbly appreciate the support of the community and rescue organizations !!!
