FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!!

Fostering ex mill dogs give our dogs their first experience as living a "dogs" life.

Some fosters take in a single dog, others take in many. But regardless of the number, without foster homes we can not save dogs. As you all know being a foster family you are providing for the first time for a mill dog security, love and care, food, and for the first time a safe and warm place for these dogs to be. We are a rescue organization are very dependent on donations, adoptions, and funding.

We often hear from people that they fear fostering because they would won't be able to let the foster go. With love and care, foster animals will grab a piece of your heart –– we won’t lie to you there. And you will become attached to your foster pet. But, letting go of your foster pet will be made easier knowing as you all have witnessed first hand by adopting from us that we become a Big Family and have the Parent's List where you can keep in contact with your foster dog's adoptive family.

The rewards of being a foster parent are like those you will never experience doing anything else.

That feeling that you will experience when you see the dog look at you for the first time after never being able to look in human eyes, or just by allowing you to pet him or her for the first time. Seeing the dog run in the yard or touch the grass beneath it's feet. And the first time you see the dog beginning to realize that we "humans" are not all bad, that we can and do have a gentle touch.
